Join us at our monthly networking event! There will be networking opportunities, a chance to tour our space and an interactive panel discussion with a panel of experienced service company owners and managers.
Our panel will share their experiences of how they got started their service companies and some real-life tips, tricks and trips.

PANELISTS

Brad Maheu - President at Clearpass Inc.

Brad’s expertise lies in the assessment and delivery of enterprise-wide asset management solutions, specializing in the area of asset tracking. He is a founder of Clearpass. With over 28 years of experience, he has led the effort to deliver enterprise asset management solutions for such organizations as Plains Midstream, MEG Energy, EnCana Resources, Ensign Energy Services and Pengrowth Corporation. In addition to working with clients, Brad has also published articles and participated in asset management related conferences for organizations such as PEMAC and the Canadian Institute. Brad holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from the Western University.

Geoff Kovacik - Founder and Principal Hydrogeologist at Connate Water Solutions Inc.

Geoff Kovacik, M.Sc. P.Geo. is a professional Hydrogeologist currently licensed in Alberta (APEGA), Saskatchewan (APEGS) and Ontario (APGO).  Geoff completed his graduate M.Sc. degree in Hydrogeology from the University of Waterloo (2014) and his B.Sc. from the University of Calgary (2008).  Prior to starting Connate Water Solutions Inc in 2016, Geoff worked on many unconventional groundwater sourcing projects throughout Western Canada while at Baseline Water Resource Inc and Golder Associates Ltd.  Geoff has over 9 years experience including drilling and aquifer testing of 150+ groundwater supply wells and extensive experience managing Water Act licensing submissions for junior to intermediate producers.

Mark Salkeld - VP Business Development at CLEANTEK Industries

Mark Salkeld brings over 35 years of domestic and international industry experience to the position. Over the years, Mark assumed progressively senior positions in maintenance, operations, procurement, training and business development, including a variety of overseas assignments. Prior to joining CLEANTEK, Mark cemented his extensive background in oilfield services as part of the senior management team of an international drilling company. His broad industry experience and seven years at the helm of the Petroleum Services Association of Canada, combined with his MBA and CAE, gives Mark the combination of insight and leadership that delivers value for CLEANTEK and their customers.

Mike Fretwell  - President of Mission Geospatial Ltd

Mike is a professional land surveyor with over 30 years experience.  Mike's career in geomatics has taken him from the Arctic to SE-Asia, with many points in between, and has encompassed many different aspects from the smallest municipal jobs, through national infrastructure projects, to some of the largest and most challenging resource projects in Canada.  Mike is expert in boundary determination, control surveys, error analysis, legacy data audit and integration, project management, execution and optimization. Mike holds an MBA from Queen's and is past Vice-President of the Alberta Land Surveyors' Association.

Ron Daley - President & CEO of Data Scavenger Inc

Ron has over 30 years of industry experience including field and plant operation, product management and operational reporting. Ron is proud of Data Scavenger's continual progress and looks forward to their future endeavours. The company's success has been formed on a superior product which accompanies the long term relationships Ron and his team have developed over the years with all their clients, big and small. The Data Scavenger team is dedicated to increasing efficiencies for their clients and making every experience with Data Scavenger a positive one.

Ron, alongside 'his girls', continue to operate a purebred beef cattle ranch north of Calgary. Many of Ron's successful business decisions can be attributed back to his lifelong commitment to his his other passion, ranching.
